Description

This women's tee is made from 6.1 oz 100% ring-spun US cotton in a boxy, slightly cropped mid-length cut. It features a topstitched ribbed collar, shoulder-to-shoulder twill tape, a seamless body, and a double-needle bottom hem. Dyed with OEKO-TEX certified low-impact dyes in a WRAP-certified facility, using a salt-free clean pigment process that uses about half the water of conventional pigment dyeing. Boxy fit, sizes S–2XL — it runs close to the body, so size up for a looser drape. Slight shade variation between garments is normal.

Meet California poppy

Eschscholzia californica Cham.

California poppy has a close historical connection with San Francisco’s Presidio. The National Park Service identifies it as the type locality, where specimens were collected during an 1816 visit by a Russian expedition. Adelbert von Chamisso named the genus for his shipmate Johann Friedrich Eschscholtz. It later became California’s state flower. National Park Service: California Poppy at the Presidio

Native range

Its native range extends beyond California across the western and south-central United States into northern Mexico. At the Presidio, the park account places it on coastal bluffs, dune flats, grassy hills and rocky ridges. Kew POWO: Eschscholzia californicaNational Park Service: California Poppy at the Presidio
