Description

This women's tee is made from 6.1 oz 100% ring-spun US cotton in a boxy, slightly cropped mid-length cut. It features a topstitched ribbed collar, shoulder-to-shoulder twill tape, a seamless body, and a double-needle bottom hem. Dyed with OEKO-TEX certified low-impact dyes in a WRAP-certified facility, using a salt-free clean pigment process that uses about half the water of conventional pigment dyeing. Boxy fit, sizes S–2XL — it runs close to the body, so size up for a looser drape. Slight shade variation between garments is normal.

Meet tropical whiteweed

Ageratum conyzoides L.

Tropical whiteweed has spread well beyond its original range. Kew lists introductions across many tropical and subtropical regions. Its worldwide distribution now includes places far removed from the Mexican native range recognized by that checklist. Kew POWO: Ageratum conyzoides

Introduced North American populations

For the introduced U.S. populations it covers, Flora of North America records flowering in July and August. Flora of North America: Ageratum conyzoides

Native range

Kew’s current treatment identifies Mexico as native and lists extensive introductions elsewhere. Flora of North America instead describes the species as apparently native to South America. These sources therefore differ on its original distribution; neither treats its widespread cultivated escapes as evidence of universal nativity. Its habitat account places these plants on disturbed sites, mostly near the coast, at elevations of zero to twenty metres. Kew POWO: Ageratum conyzoidesFlora of North America: Ageratum conyzoides
